I’m the kid that sat at the back of the class, the girl people laughed at during my school days!

   

Q- You had a hard time during school then?

A       A: Yeah, it was a really difficult time for me, I mean a lot of other kids all around the world go through this everyday of their loves to.

Q       Q:so what exactly happened?

A      A: Well I wasn't exactly a size zero, let’s say that. I would get called FAT and UGLY. Nobody wanted to be my friend. I was believing the words that came out of their mouths and on top of all that my parents split up, it was a really stressful

 time for me and my family. So I went on staying with my dad for the week and my mum on the weekends. I couldn't really express myself to anyone, school was getting really bad and the people there just wouldn't stop, I was to quiet to say anything

back I let it eat me, I was so self-conscious that I just couldn't even eat anymore.

 Q: What did your parents think of this?

 A: well they didn't even realize because they were so into work etc. and my mum was getting a bigger place sorted cause her bedsit was not big enough for her. So I was over at my mums and I was trying her make up on and she walked in and she was like “ Kendall what is that tack on your face” and I just remember bursting into tears and that’s the night I told her everything. She was like “your beautiful without make up” “you don’t need it”.  

Q: so what happened next?

A: well I started becoming more positive about myself I ignored the kids at school and  became more confident, I got involved in the school clubs and socialized more with the kids, I made great friends, in fact im still in contact with them still. Being positive really helped me get back on my feet.

Q: so the kids who bullied you, are they nice to you now that your famous?

A: haha, yeah always happens, just shows positive minds get you a long way.

Q: so what made you decide you wanted to become  a pop singer?

A: I started the after school singing lessons, it was really great it made me feel good about myself and my heart just took away listening to others preform and myself. I could feel it was something I was born to do.

 Q: do you have anything to say out there to your fans?

A: I wouldn't call them fans, there just great supporters and I love them. All I would like to say is never let anything bring you down, stay positive and if things ever get out of hand, tell somebody it makes things so much easier than keeping them in.

   

This is my Double page story. I am Talking about my Model who has now just become a pop singer, but in past had been bullied at school and and is taking about it and being open to help her fans all around the world.

I am still working on my magazine, but I still have to take my Images for my magazine cover as I have not been able to because my model has had no available time. however I like the way this model is looking into the camera, her face looks really serious, I would like my model to do something along the lines like this. I also love that her outfit it really simple and elegant, and her make up is very neutral and I would like to do something like this with my model.

Research and Planning Appropriate Font

Here are the different type of  serif fonts, The sans - serf fonts are not appropriate for the articles or titles, however the serif font is okay for titles and articles but the serif font were the ends are highlighted they are the ones that are appropriate for articles and the titles. I Know understand that this this is right font to be used. I also understand that the maximum size that is allowed to be used on the magazine articles/ double page spread have to be "12" because otherwise the font will be to big and inappropriate.

This is what I have done in today's lesson. I have switched from in design to photo shop because its better for me to edit my images ect. I have changed the colors and some of the font sizes for my texts. I have also cut out two images and put them on my contents page.

Here are the two images which I have took outside, in a phone box. The lighting was great for these. I will be using these in my double page spread. About her story about help during bullying.

I wanted to use these on my Magazine cover, but the lighting is to dark so i will not be able to use them. From this I have learned That the images best come out when they are taken outside. Therefore I will be re-taking these images outside in a much brighter lighting, like the ones i will be using for my double page spread.

Here is an image that I have took for my magazine contents page. I am unsure if I will use this yet or not. But its the first photo shoot I have done so far.

This is What I have done today, I have added and changed some of the cover lines. I have changed the colours of them also, Being a pop magazine I have much choice of colours. I have also added the barcode.I have changed my highlight colour to red because it stands out more and speaks better than the yellow which I had used first.

I have Moved and Rotated the Barcode around and I have put on a price for the magazine, Because i think putting the price on is something important to the readers.

I like the make up look on Selena Gomez, I am thinking of using something like this for my model. The reason I think this look would associations with my magazine is because my magazine is in the genre of pop and the pink lips are just something my model must have.

Here I have an image which I have took myself. I would like My model to have her lips this colour and also the pout is Important because I might consider my model to pout, because its something that all teenage girls like to do when taking pictures. Also I really love this colour lipstick, it really applies to my genre, its really girly and a pop of pink which will draw attention towards my magazine.

I think for my magazine the location will not matter as much, because on the cover I would like to do something like this. I would like the image to blend in with the Magazine cover itself. Also I would like my model to wear clothes, that have the colour co-ordinate of my magazine, so it will look more professional.

I have not included this image on my model test shots because I was unsure if she would be my model. But I think the image she gives will be great for my pop magazine, because she is the youngest of all the models I have looked at and she is what I think should be on the cover of my pop magazine..So I think the above will be my Model for my magazine overall.

This is the work that I have done on my Magazine production today. I Still have more cover lines to include and the main image. So Far I have not used the 3 colour rule here, as I Have used two shades of blue pink and a yellow also as a highlight for the text.

I have almost completed my contents page, I just need to insert my Images which have not been taken yet. I have added more colour onto this compared to my first one, I decided to take the page numbers of also, as this is a pop magazine and page numbers don't really occur to this genre of magazines.

Rresearch and planning my double page spread story

I am not sure but I think for my double page spread story I would like to do it about, how getting famous has changed her life. The moving away from her family leaving her friends ect.

Q- How does it feel Knowing that your finally a popstar?
A-Well, I am still the same person, I am just happy that my music is out and I'm doing what i love.

Q- You had to move away from your extended family and your close friends, how does that make you feel?
A- That was one of the hardest things ever! I miss everyone so much, but me and my family go back to visit. I stay in contact with my friends over twitter and text, im so glad there are social network sites.

Q- how often do you go back home?
A- well I try and go back when I'm free, as i have interviews and my tour has recently started, and im going around promoting, its just all so crazy!

Q- Has the life of your family members chnaged?
A- well Not so much but, sometimes they gets their pictures taken on a normal day if there  with me and it would be up on the internet etc, the fans are all updated and we just find it so crazy, my little sister was like OMG I'm on the internet its so crazy.

Q- The fans? How do you feel about them?
A- I cant explain how much I love them, This is all thanks to them

For my double page spread I would like to write about an article, which will interact with my readers and something that they can link to. The ideas that I have come up with are the following below.

• How to cope with break- ups
• Growing up - how her life changed 
• How to keep up with the trends 

Research and planning double page pop analysis

This is an example of a double page spread for a pop magazine. I am going to make mine like this, asking questions like an interview.This article is about Cher Lloyd and how people blamed her for their kids turning out wrong. They way this fits into my genre is because The topic which is being talked about is not something which is really serious. For my magazine I could so something along the lines of this like talking about the past ect.

Here is another double page spread, this one is about Two of the band members from One Direction. They are talking about their past, and how they felt about certain things. This links to my genre as this article is from a pop magazine, and I could use stories like this to ask my model, about her past ect and what she felt like ect at school/college, What they thought about education ect. 

 This is another double page spread from the 'top of the pops magazine' This magazine links to my genre and the age group which my magazine will be aimed at. This is something different from the other things pop magazines talk about, its something fun that readers might like to see, rather than a sob story.

The clothing items that I would like my model to wear are things that are appropriate to her age, things that suit her and also match her skin tone. Things that we have spoke about her wearing are things like Dresses, that are above knee length, tights/leggings ect things that are girly also we spoke bout casual shirts which are also dressy up. The make up on my model will be neutral, and her hair will be curled, also with the wavy hair look.Also my model also might wear a shirt which has a feminine touch with leggings or jeans.

 Here is my first model shot, I am not sure if I will be suing this model on my cover, just because I feel that I should have her on my contents page.

 I like the poses that this model comes with, I would like to have her on my contents page, because its something fun and attractive to my readers.

 This model doesn't look age appropriate for my magazine cover, however i could possibly use her for my contents page.

This model looks appropriate for my magazine cover, but I'm not sure yet, as I have another model in mind. If I don't use her on my cover I will defiantly use her in my contents page or double page spread.

In this image the model I'm thinking to use is the one on the right hand side. I think the age and the looks of this model os perfect for my pop magazine.
