During the half term I am going to upload some post including updated and more improved images of my music magazine. As I have gotten feed back from my audience I will be using that to improve my magazine.Also changing the colours and font etc to suit what my target audience have said.

front cover- Dress colour which best suits the model, but also is appropriate to the magazine and goes with my three colour rule.

contents page- girly clothing, eg dress tights hats headbands.

double page spread- clothing best to suit model but is appropriate with the model and meet my standards of the magazine.

 I would want a dress like this for my model, but im not sure on the colour but I would like this style.

 I  like the style of this hat.

Research and Planning Double Page Analysis

This is a double page spread which I can tell is from a pop magazine. The reason I can tell is because the models which are from a boy band ,they are well dressed and they are being portrayed in a way which makes them look really laid back, and they have a serious face on which also implies that this article that is written on them is something serious, rather than something that would make the teenage girls scream about.The layout of this double page spread, is very simple and effective, the way in which it is effective is through the colours that have been used to make this page up, the editor has used light and dark colours which imply that this is something serious.Also this double page has the three colour rule, which is white, 2 shades of blue and grey for the background, these colours also imply masculinity, they have also used the clothes on the models at a similar colour to contrast with the page, which is really clever because it makes the double page spread more interesting and complete. The text is also placed next to each of the artists that they are talking about which makes it clear to understand who they are talking to and also the images are next to the person who they are interviewing, normally on a double page spread, they would interview one person but they have fitted onto this one the interview of 2 artist and put them together.

This is my music magazine draft. I have used two main colours and also a yellow to highlight the key information. From the masthead title we can see that the genre this attracts is the pop genre, as it clarly states "teen" and the coloures which I have used apply to girls.

Research and planning contents page anylisis

This is a content page from a pop magazine (top of the pops). The genre of the magazine is pop, as we can see this through the images that have been used, and also the colour, the image of the magazine cover is on the contents page it self in a small print, showing the artist on the cover,this  immediately indicates to the audience that this magazine is fun, we can also see this through the image of the boy band, the way they are stood, it does not look serious at all, they look like there enjoying there selves and that implies that they are having fun and, that's what the readers are expecting. The layout of the page, is very "in your face" it shows that its a page that wont be missed, the colours used are bright and vibrant capturing attention of the readers, they have also highlighted in a bright neon colour the"main things" that might be the main purpose of the issue of the magazine, they also have many images from the artist to fashion items, which implies again that they are interesting the reader before they look any further into the magazine itself. The audience that this magazine is for, will be teenagers, mainly from the ages of 15 to 18, I say this because the things in here interest this age group, as the type of music they listen to, also fashion items that are in the stores that they can afford are also in here. The representation of the images imply a lot of fun, as the cover is also on the contents page, and the artist is wearing a bright dress, which implies girly and attracts them towards it, also using a boy band on the contents age makes the girls "scream" as they are interested in things like this and will allow them to read on.

This is my collage that I have used, cutting out magazine covers, and pages. I have also put on here a few font types that attracted me, and stand out from the others. The images here are very bold and inspiring. The colours mainly used are related to girls, as these cut outs are from pop magazines such as top of the pops and Teennow ect.

This is an activity that I did. This was an activity were I had to draw, different type of shots, from different angles. the shot types were things like Master shot and POV shot, these are things that I didn't know.

This is the image that I used for my college magazine. This was not a medium close up, so I had to crop the image down and have only the chest upwards. I had to make sure it looked ok and fitted the page appropiatley so I put the image at the bottom of the page instead of it coming from the top.

This is the smash hits magazines cover, from looking at this I can tell that this is a Pop magazine from the colours that are used because it relates to girls at a certain age, who would look at these magazines. Also the font that has been used gives it away, that the genre of this magazine is Pop. There are lots of cover lines, which are related to "Teen gossip", which also tells me this is a Pop magazine. The layout of the magazine gives the idea that its not very "grown up"  all the main cover lines are all on one side and they give the impression of fun rather than serious, how we would take a Tv magazine for example, were it interest people, were as this Pop magazine is just aimed at teens and the gossip about the "hottest bands" ect. The way that the model is presented on the magazine, shows that the magazine is for young people as she is young herself, it also looks fresh, because she isn't presented with much makeup and done up, like we would have in a magazine such as VIBE, which is a RnB magazine, this contrast the age gap, and the way the media present a celebrity to the age groups. The main cover line "girls rule" is in a completely different font and colour to the rest of the magazine cover lines/tittle, the reason for this is, its something that will attract the teen girls and bring them towards the magazine. This magazine dose follow the three colour rule, as they have pink as a main colour which relates to the teen girls and is also stereo typical to the girls, and also the blue is a girly colour  and something that relates to girls and also they use yellow on the masthead and some of the cover lines.

This magazine is the Top of the Pops magazine, which is one of the most popular pop magazine going at the moment. From the outcome of this magazine I can see that its a pop magazine. This magazine follows the three colour rule, the main colours used here are pink yellow and blue, these colours are also used in the magazine above.The boys in the image give the impression that this magazine is fun and the faces are not serious and there just standing there looking at the camera smiling, which gives the impression that this magazine if fun, and young also like the boys. It implies that the magazine will be full of fresh things and things that relate to the teen girls like the boy band "one direction", the whole cover of the magazine has one direction, which tells the readers that this magazine is most likely  to be all about them also it has the logo in yellow, the colour yellow, is bright and attracts them more towards the magazine as it says 100% 1D. This magazine dose not have many cover lines scattered around the page,it only has 3 main ones based at the bottom of the page, this tells us that there wont be very much information in the magazine it will be more images and posters inside the magazine. The size of the masthead is appropriate for the magazine as its something that people are able to read what it says also it has a bright colour which relates to girls and it attracts the reader to notice the masthead.

Here is my music magazines, masthead ideas. I have created them on photoshop, I have used these colours because these colours relate to girls , who would look at pop magazines and it relates to there ages, therefore I have been stereotypical and used pink purple and a blue which is quite girly.
